Making our future WONDERFUL

Wine Paris is moving forward and launching WONDERFUL!

Wine Paris is breaking new ground with a solution called WONDERFUL which aims to promote organic and ethical schemes across-the-board. It focuses on both the supply and demand sides of the industry in response to a changing society and marketplace.

We are constantly monitoring the wine sector and its developments, identifying new initiatives and reflecting on how to enhance them as widely as possible:

Monitoring the wine ecosystem in France and internationally | Identifying consumer trends, market developments and innovations | Explaining existing certifications and endorsements | Highlighting current best practices and committed personalities | Signposting current and future trends, solutions and best practices

From its 2020 edition, through a number of publications, events and speeches, Wine Paris highlights initiatives within the wine industry, its vitality and the way it constantly adapts to a changing world:

  • By monitoring dedicated publications, research and bespoke communications within our digital ecosystem
  • By promoting winegrowers, estates, co-operatives and trading firms committed to one or more organic and ethical schemes in the catalogue and visit guide, on the website and application
  • By enhancing visibility at the show by introducing a customised itinerary and flagging up stands around the halls and the relevant wines in the tasting areas
  • Through a specific day of Wine Talks on Tuesday 11 February: the WONDERFUL DAY with presentations, round table debates and dedicated workshops with high-level speakers

Our producers talk about it!

“As the first French agribusiness firm to reach the ‘exemplary’ level on the AFNOR CSR scale (AFAQ 26000), which includes environmental, social and economic initiatives, we are convinced that the future of the wine world depends on this policy. Wine Paris is the ideal showcase for highlighting and deciphering the many schemes and certifications that we have introduced, from the equality-diversity endorsement applied to the company to HVE certification applied to the farms belonging to our co-operative wine growers”.

Pierre Philippe - managing director of the Vignerons de Buzet co-operative winery

“The wine world has been working to introduce ethical schemes for several years. We need to publicise it! Thank-you Wonderful for turning the spotlight on them!”

Jacques Tranier – Managing Director, Vinovalie, South-West France

The impact of our company on both society and the environment is a key concern for Marrenon. Wonderful at Wine Paris 2020 is a great initiative and will provide explanations and exposure for the good practices and certifications within our group but also within the entire industry. Congratulations!”

Carole Macia - Marketing & Communications Manager France, Marrenon, Rhone Valley, France

We are pleased that consideration is being given to our environmental reflections and that the testimonials by producers from all backgrounds will offer an opportunity for communication during Wine Paris. We aim to be environmentally-friendly on a daily basis. Joseph Mellot's estates take an holistic approach to the environment and are strongly committed to growing vines sustainably. Our vineyards are certified HVE 3 (High Environmental Value), one of them is farmed organically (AB) and our winery is certified ISO 14001”.

Catherine Corbeau Mellot - President, Joseph Mellot, Sancerre, Centre Loire, France

We appreciate Wine Paris' Wonderful initiative. We will attend with our organic wine and spirits ranges. For many years, UBY has been rolling out responsible initiatives aimed at promoting a sustainable environment.  Our present-day policy is overarching and incorporates the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility

François Morel – Managing Director, Sas SDU, Distribution of Domaine Uby, South-West France

Our buyers talk about it!

“Wine Paris is an extremely well-organized event that focuses on organic wines. Wines created without the use of synthetic pesticides and additives is a growing trend in the USA, so an event like this is extremely useful. In 2019, I was able to narrow down my meeting schedule to highly relevant appointments.”

Alleah Friedrichs - Co-Founder & President, Bliss Wine Imports, California, USA

“Organic wine and sustainable wine production is becoming more important every day here in the UK. Jascots is working to convert more and more of our range to be as sustainable as possible, so it is crucial that producers and Wine Paris do the same to retain interest and engage effectively with their customers. Wonderful is a great initiative”.

Alastair Pyatt - Head of Buying, Jascots Wine Merchants, London, United Kingdom

Today’s market is more and more demanding about environmental friendliness. Since we created Trois Fois Vin, we have been conveying these values to our customers and subscribers through our monthly selections. Differentiation at the Wine Paris exhibition is extremely important so that we can prepare and target our purchases better and fulfil the surge in demand”.

Marie-Dominique Bradford – Founder, Trois Fois Vin, Wine Merchant & E-tailer, Paris, France
